Bank of India Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility

  • Candidates must fulfil the post-specific educational qualification, professional certification and experience prescribed in Annexure-I.
  • The age and qualification/experience eligibility is reckoned as on 01 August 2026.
  • Eligibility varies according to the specialist post; relevant degrees, certifications and post-qualification experience may be mandatory.
  • Reserved-category candidates applying against reserved vacancies may receive the prescribed relaxation in minimum educational marks.
  • Candidates should be willing to work/serve anywhere in India.
  • A candidate can apply for only one post.

Age Limit – Post/Scale Wise

  • Scale-I: generally 21–30 years, depending on the post.
  • Scale-II: post-specific age limits apply.
  • Scale-III: post-specific age limits apply.
  • Scale-IV: generally 28–42 years depending on the specialist role.

Category-wise upper-age relaxation is available as prescribed in the notification, including 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and 10 years for PwBD, subject to the applicable conditions.

❌ Negative Marking: For every wrong answer in the objective test, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted. No penalty is applied to questions left unanswered.

Final Selection Weightage

If both Online Examination and Interview are conducted, the final selection will be based on 60:40 weightage between the Online Examination and Personal Interview, subject to the prescribed qualifying conditions.

Security Deposit After Selection
