Educational Qualification & Experience

Qualification: Degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electronics & Communication Engineering or an accepted equivalent qualification.
Experience: Two years of supervisory experience in radio aids to navigation.
Assistant Director (Engineering)
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: Two years of relevant experience in civil engineering works including harbour engineering, or in maintenance and operation of specified mechanical/marine equipment.
Superintendent Translation (Hindi Branch)
Qualification: The notification provides alternative qualification routes involving a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Law, prescribed professional experience and the specified Hindi-medium/Hindi-subject requirement.

UPSC Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

- Interview carries a total of 100 marks.
- The minimum interview suitability level is 50 marks for UR, 45 for OBC and 40 for SC/ST/PwBD categories.
- Where an RT is conducted, candidates must meet the prescribed minimum level in both the RT and interview.
- The qualifying level for an RT is decided by the Commission on a case-to-case basis.
