The minimum age limit for all categories of candidates shall be 21 years and the maximum age shall be 42 years as on 1 January 2026.
Candidates must have been born not earlier than 1 January 1984 and not later than 1 January 2005.
The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for candidates belonging to SC, ST, SEBC, Women and Ex-Servicemen.
Similarly, the upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for candidates belonging to PwD categories whose disability is 40% or more on the last date of submission of online application form with reference to Advt. No. 01/2026.
Important Conditions
- A candidate belonging to more than one category will be eligible for only one benefit of age relaxation which is most beneficial.
- Persons with Disabilities shall be entitled to cumulative age relaxation of ten years over and above the normal age relaxation specified under Odisha Civil Services Rules.
- PwD candidates belonging to SEBC/SC/ST categories are eligible for cumulative age relaxation benefit of 15 years.
- PwD category with temporary disability will not get age relaxation.
- Date of Birth mentioned in the High School Certificate or equivalent certificate issued by the concerned Board/Council will be accepted as age proof.
