Eligibility Criteria SBI CBO Recruitment 2026

2. Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. 3. Experience Requirement
The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Officer as on 31 December 2025 in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or any Regional Rural Bank listed in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
4. Salary Requirement (For Private Bank Candidates)
Candidates working in Scheduled Commercial Banks other than Public Sector Banks or RRBs must be drawing a minimum annual gross salary of ₹9.50 lakh for each of the last two financial years. Documentary proof such as Form-16, Annual Income Statement (AIS), salary slips for the last 24 months, or employer certificate must be submitted.
5. Local Language Proficiency
Applicants must be proficient (reading, writing, and understanding) in the specified local language of the applied circle. Candidates who have studied the selected local language in Class 10th or 12th will be exempted from the language test.
6. Exclusions
- Candidates working in subsidiaries of Scheduled Commercial Banks.
- Candidates currently working in SBI clerical or supervisory cadre.
- Employees engaged on a contractual basis.
- Candidates who have resigned from officer grade in SBI or its associate banks.
7. CIBIL Status
Candidates who have defaulted in repayment of loans or credit card dues and have not regularized their accounts are not eligible for appointment.
8. Character & Antecedents
Applicants against whom any adverse report related to character, integrity, or moral turpitude exists will not be considered for selection.
Selection Process SBI CBO Recruitment 2026
The SBI CBO Selection Process 2026 consists of multiple phases designed to assess candidates thoroughly on professional knowledge, communication skills, and suitability for the officer role.
Phase 1 – Online Examination
The online test will consist of two parts:
- Objective Test: 120 questions for 120 marks with a total duration of 2 hours.
- Descriptive Test: English Language (Letter Writing & Essay) of 50 marks with a duration of 30 minutes.
