OTET 2025 Apply Online process has officially started by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (BSE Odisha). Candidates who wish to appear for the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET 2025) can now fill the online application form at bseodisha.ac.in. The OTET 2025 exam will be conducted on 17 December 2025, and the OTET Admit Card 2025 will be available for download from 10 December 2025.

About OTET 2025

The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) is a state-level examination conducted by the BSE Odisha to assess the eligibility of candidates aspiring to become teachers in government, private aided, and unaided schools across Odisha. Clearing OTET ensures that candidates are qualified to teach classes from I to VIII as per NCTE norms.

OTET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

For Paper I (Classes I to V)

  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 2-year D.El.Ed. OR
  • Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in 2-year D.El.Ed. (as per NCTE 2002 norms) OR
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 4-year B.El.Ed. OR
  • Graduation with 50% marks and passed/appearing in 2-year D.El.Ed.

For Paper II (Classes VI to VIII)

  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 1-year B.Ed. OR
  • Graduation with 45% marks and passed/appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (as per NCTE norms) OR
  • Senior Secondary with 50% marks and passed/appearing in 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. OR
  • Graduation with 2-year D.El.Ed.

The OTET 2025 Apply Online process must be completed before 25 November 2025 (11:45 PM). Follow these steps:

    • Sorry, you are not eligible. For OTET, +2 requires 50% for General / 45% for SC-ST and graduation requires a minimum of 50% marks. Your graduation is 43%, so you cannot apply.
      Your +2 percentage is fine, you should have appeared for CET. In +3, your percentage is a bit low, which is why your B.Ed is affected.
      If you had completed CET, you would have been eligible for OTET Paper 1, which is for primary school.
