- Indian citizens with B.Sc. (Horticulture) or B.Sc. (Agriculture) from recognised university.
- Age between 21β42 years (relaxation for reserved categories as per rules).
- Must be able to read, write and speak Odia (with required certificate).
- Physically fit (except PwD candidates with 40%+ disability).
- Ex-Servicemen & PwD candidates are eligible for reservation (adjusted against their category).
- Paper I & II: 100 marks each, 100 questions, 2 hours each.
- Negative marking: 25% deduction for each wrong answer.
- Both papers are from Horticulture subjects.
- Qualifying marks fixed by OPSC for each paper/aggregate (category-wise).
- Shortlisting for Interview in ratio ~1:2 (minimum 5 per category).
- Total marks: 225 (Written 200 + Interview 25).
- Final select list based on aggregate marks.
- Tie-breaker: more marks in Written β older age.
- Planning and implementation of horticulture development schemes.
- Supervision of cultivation, plant protection, and post-harvest management.
- Extension work, training farmers, and promoting modern horticulture practices.
