IOCL Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility

Graduate Engineer – Grade A

B.E./B.Tech./equivalent full-time regular degree in the relevant engineering discipline is required. General/EWS/OBC(NCL) candidates need at least 65% marks, while SC/ST/PwBD candidates need at least 55%.

Officer (Marketing) – Grade A

Two-year full-time regular MBA/PG Diploma in Business Administration with Marketing specialisation is required. Minimum marks are 60% for General/EWS/OBC(NCL) and 55% for SC/ST/PwBD.

Law Officer – Grade A

Graduate degree with LLB or a 5-year Integrated LLB is required. The LLB must be recognised by the Bar Council of India. Minimum 2 years of relevant post-qualification professional experience is required.

Assistant Quality Control Officer – Grade A0

Master’s degree in Chemistry or specified Chemistry disciplines is required along with the prescribed marks. Candidates also need minimum 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience in testing, R&D or quality control.

Diploma Engineer – Grade E0

A three-year full-time Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline is required. General/EWS/OBC(NCL) candidates need 65% marks and SC/ST candidates need 55% marks. Specific additional requirements apply to Safety posts.

IOCL Recruitment 2026 – Age Limit

Age is calculated as on 01 July 2026. Relaxation is available for eligible reserved categories as per the official notification.

IOCL Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process

The selection process will include:

• Computer Based Test (CBT)
• Group Discussion (GD) and Group Task (GT)
• Personal Interview (PI)

CBT Pattern

Each question carries 1 mark. A negative marking of 0.25 marks will apply for every incorrect answer.

Shortlisting & Merit

For CBT qualification, General/EWS/OBC(NCL) candidates need 40% in each section and 45% overall. SC/ST candidates need 35% in each section and 40% overall. PwBD candidates need 25% in each section and 30% overall.

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates will also receive applicable allowances and benefits as per IOCL rules.
