Job Profile & Responsibilities

Fitter — Role

The Fitter will be assigned to mechanical maintenance tasks including assembly, fitting, repair and preventive maintenance of mechanical equipment under DG EME. Responsibilities include operating hand and power tools, assisting in scheduled overhauls, following safety procedures and maintaining work logs.

Cook — Role

The Cook will prepare meals for personnel, manage kitchen operations, maintain hygiene standards, handle ration inventories and assist with large-scale meal preparation during field duties. The role requires adherence to food safety protocols and the ability to work in shifts.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Fitter: ITI certificate in the relevant trade (or equivalent as specified in notification).
• Cook: 10th pass or equivalent.

Age Limit

Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years. Age relaxation for reserved categories will be as per government rules. Verify category-wise relaxation and document requirements in the official notification.

Selection Process

Selection will be through document verification followed by a written test. Shortlisted applicants will receive admit cards by ordinary post and may be notified by email or phone.

How to Apply (Offline) — Step-by-step

Pay Scale & Benefits
